Does anyone know of any charities or animal groups that help pick up vet bills? =/ I would post this to a vegan community or two but I'd feel so annoying. My 12 year-old cat has to get surgery on his ear for a recurring condition that's been paining him for the past few months, and while I could foot the few hundred (AHJD) bill for his pills and antibiotic shot, the actual surgery will be way beyond my means.

I don't know what to doo. May send this out on my campus vegan listserv but I'd feel too annoying to even ask.
